I have had the opportunity to quilt away the past couple of days. It had felt like forever since I got to enjoy standing at my machine as I had caught the worlds worst cold.... EVER ;)
Both quilts were awfully fun to do, and at this point, I'm still playing catch up on my pieces as I get used to my new machine.
My eldest daughter and I pieced together a lap quilt for her, a wee while ago. Ahem... Just a bit more than a minute. She choose a 2 block combo of a nine patch and Ohio Star. She also choose some lovely fabric and I think that it turned out quite well. i'm pleased and when she comes home from College for the holidays, I should have it completely bound.

I did decide to do some custom quilting on it as I really do enjoy the process. I know they say that quilting done for everyday use should be more along the lines of an all over as it will end up being frequently washed. I'm okay with that. The washing will still occur and I'm sure this wont be the only lap quilt she gets from mummy. Now to get her to actually come along into the quilting world... I cant stitch that one, just lay the seed.
The second quilt is just about off my frame. i'll catch you up with that one in a day or two. In the meanwhile my friends, happy quilting and i'll catch ya on the dark side. No? Corny? Oh well, I didn't say I wasnt :)
