I had the opportunity to take a class at my new quilt store, I'm my new town, with my new quilting bestie. She's a special gal, meaning she loves her fabric sew much, SHE"S BUYING THE QUILT STORE! Whoop, whoop! I'm excited for her and I'm looking forward to seeing her store blossom. She'll be the brand new owner of........ I'll save the details of her store and name for a wee bit. Just know, February is going to be an exciting month.
So, again, I had the opportunity to take a class last month, after a nice invite from my new friend. I am so glad I did. Not only did I get to make a pretty nice quilt, I also got to meet quite a few other area quilters. We have a quild meeting ( my first anywhere, I might add), this upcoming Thursday. Of course, I have to go in with my quilt quilted. I'm hoping to get it bound beforehand, but we shall see.

I apologize for the quality of the pictures. I will try and retake them once the weather clears. Its rainy and cold out there and I wanted to stay dry and warm.
This is a Patterned taught and Designed by Tony Jacobson of Fons and Porter. He designed his with actually two alternating color sets. I ran with just one color set after making a couple of blocks and thinking, my youngest kiddo wanted the turqouise and lime green room. We are on our way. Again, better pictures over the next few days. In the meantime, happy quilting and I'll see you on the dark side.
